I am Canadian and my fiancee Russian

    4 x denied visa , July 2019 , September 2019, December 31 2019 and December 31 2020.

They really evaluate accordingly our files twice on December 31 , 2 years in a row… We are sorry but we have a doubt…

We orders notes of the last 3.

    September 2019 = 3 points on 179B

October 2019 = 2 points on 179B  and decision taken with Wrong information on the file something from somebody else.  Note received

December 2019 = 4 points on 179B and TRV application done by one of the best lawyer in the industries… Ridiculous reason to denied  including dual intent. Application submitted December 16 2019 ,Denied letter December 31 2019. We received note and wait one year

    December 2020 = 1 point on 179B , TRV submitted with IMM006 December 18 2020 , Denied letter again December 31 2020.

On this one , we submit all information missing on the former application, add more document, more information.

We still waiting for the note but apparently now it’s the summum of the ridiculous thing. They ask us to prove our strong relationship with a duly document IMM006  and they denied because the family ties is too strong with Canada .. Is it a joke ?  Add on on that they said families ties with her country not enough , She have a house, job, family and daughter at university for the next three year.

They invite us to redo application if situation change… What they need more? Get the parents out of the tomb ?

The family ties with Canada can not be less stronger when the time will pass. Can just be more stronger.

So $1500.00 spend and we still not have the right to see us and no visa … we are apart since November 5 , 2019 (442 days )

    We are exhausted !

    Thanks for your help

    Tatiana and Denis

Hi Denis. I’m really sorry to hear your story. I’m also a Russian citizen and currently waiting for a TRV. I had one but it expired before I could enter Canada in November because I was denied authorization to enter.

I am in similar situation. Canadian citizen and my fiance is citizen of Russia. We are together in Turkey and I need to come back home, with my fiance. Got a rejection.

The rejection basis are confusing. They said you can reapply when your situation will change. I dont see anything will change.

Regarding her refusal, I need to defend and explain the points from the refusal letter:

“• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

    • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
      • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada.
      • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
      • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
    • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.”

    1. She has a perfect travel history, and she did return on time from Germany, Italy, China and other countries. Where is the issue here?

How IRCC expects her travel history to change?

    1. She has mother, father, twin sister in Russia.

How IRCC expect her family situation to change?

Should she has 3 husband and 3 kids or?

    1. She will stay with me in Canada for 5 month.

    What is the issue here?

What IRCC expect her timeframe to be changed to?

    1. Purpose of the visit is to start living together in Canada as common law couple, what other purpose can she have or be permitted to enter? We want to live in my home country.

What IRCC can expect this to changed?

    1. 6. She works full time remotely for Carlsberg Group Russia. Whats wrong with this?

Where should she work to be eligible by IRCC ?

I mean, if it would be a mistake in application, one issue or something this can be fixed.

What and how they stated the rejection – I dont see anything from the list we can fix, which means I stuck in foreign country for unknown period of time.

    We are desperate.

SO how come we can come back to Canada I dont understand…Please help us. We are here without home, normal life or documents. Thank you.

Hi. I know it’s a long shot, but you should try immigrating through the family sponsorship. That’s what we did. Also, for Canada, the fiancé thing doesn’t really work. They don’t say it, but they want you to be married. We were married, and even then we had to provide a ton of proofs, like Skype conversations, plane tickets, hotels, receipts of presents etc. I know that you want to be sincere, but in the eyes of visa officer simple “i want to live with my gf” just doesn’t work. Especially for 3 world countries. Keep in mind that for the visa officer your fiancé is a potential illegal immigrant and her task is to prove him wrong. I think that’s why they actually prefer legal immigration 🙂

I’m not sure about the processing times for immigration at this point, but I think you have a chance with this option. Check out Russian forum called Chemodan. You will find many people in similar situations there along with many advices.

    Good luck !
